HELLO MONDAY | 08.02.21
HELLO VIEW | From up on the 42nd floor we are looking northwest, so though Southampton is out of our sight, it is always in our thoughts. I can’t wait to get the renovations underway and look forward to living the slow and quiet lifestyle it promises.
HELLO BACK AND FORTH | While Caden spends his time either crashed in bed or on his computer (he made it himself – I’m ridiculously impressed) I take the boys back to Oakville and continue to pack up the house for the big move to storage at the end of the month.
HELLO DISHES | I struggled between two patterns: Staccato, simple, classic; and, Savannah, whimsical and feminine. For three years I’ve lived with a set of 4 place settings of the Staccato. The full set of 24 place settings of Savannah just arrived. Simple and classic is my “expected” life; whimsical and feminine is the life I want. It may as well start with the everyday dishes!
HELLO NEW MOON | This new moon takes on the flavour of Aquarius. The days leading up to it are best spent cleaning and letting go of old things, behaviours and situations that clutter our lives and prevent us from manifesting what we most want. When it arrives on the 11th, we want to pay attention to what our life is asking us to develop during the next lunar cycle.
HELLO MEMORIES | This week last year Bill and I hosted an event for The Legacy Tour: Ray Bourque and Friends. It was to be the start of our new life together, the foundation of many plans in the works. It was a complete and utter shit show from start to finish and one of my favourite memories even if the process was painful. We learned a lot about people – the honest, hard-working and good-hearted; and, the toxic, liars and cheats. I met a few people new to me: oodles of retired hockey players and lovely supportive vendors; as well as enjoyed welcoming three out of his four kids into our home. I was looking forward to building this life so that we could build another life. Alas, life had other plans.
HELLO MONDAY | You are my favourite: I love that you provide me with 52 fresh starts every year.
