INTENTIONAL REFLECTION | May
Continuing with my Intentional Reflection practice:
Name a moment of celebration in May.
I went to the new Beach Motel for lunch - such a lovely spot - with some truly wonderful women, all of whom soon to live up here! It was lovely to eat, drink and laugh with Lynne, Jeanette, Kim and Lesley. I’m looking forward to a time when we can do it on a more regular basis, it will always be just as celebratory!
What did you need more of in May?
I needed more pain free days. I’ve been seeing the RMT and Chiropractor regularly for months and things are starting to get unstuck. For years I felt nothing - no pain - as everything was seized to the point of numbness. Now that things are moving around I feel pain regularly. It’s hard to walk, hard to stand for long periods, hard to workout. The natural inclination of anyone (sane) is to avoid the things that create pain, but I’m forcing myself to move through them. I’ve avoided anything to deal with the pain, but I think it’s time to break out the CBD gummies.
What’s one arrow you’re following into June?
I am happily submerged in my 10th anniversary revisit to the Ali Edwards “31 Things” project. In May, I completed all of the writing - as well as the new 6” x 8” format and digital elements on Photoshop Elements. Now to proof read (again), match up the most suitable photos and send it off to the printer. I have avoided looking at the original project as I don’t want it to flavour this one. I can’t wait to see what has changed and what has stayed the same. A decade is a long time, and a blink. I feels really good creating again - that is what is going to follow me into June.
What about you?
