What does it say about me that there is absolutely no one I’m curious enough about to be scared to ask them something?

After a childhood of being accused of being rude by asking questions, it’s taken 50+ years, but I no longer hold in my questions. I simply ask. I’m curious and no longer feel the need to curb my curiosity. If I ask something considered inappropriate, no one is obligated to answer. My only onus is to show my interest. If you’re interested in something - be it people, place or thing - you ask questions. Right?
