TELL ABOUT A PRANK THAT WENT HORRIBLY WRONG!

In my boarding school of 163 girls, there was one girl who stood out, she triggered every insecurity I ever had. We loathed each other with the energy and angst found only in a teenage female. One evening, when she went out to a concert of some kind with a few other girls (aka, drinking in London with boys from Western), I got the brilliant idea to put wet noodles in her bed ... 

My friend, my roommate co-conspirator, a girl I thought had my back, went to the school and told them that it was me who did the horrible deed.

Life lesson!

It was during the Christmas exam period and I was put in solitary confinement (seriously, an austere room, with a twin bed and dresser) for two weeks. Eventually, I was able to bring my turntable down from my room and relied on Genesis and Phil Collins to get me through my punishment. There I was with my books, my music, my uniform, my cigarettes (I got 3 visits a day to the butt room - but remember the housemothers taking pity on me and allowing far more visits), and a lot of quiet. Upon reflection, I probably got better grades on my exams as a result.

And it kept me from losing my mind - and my temper - on those who arrived back at the school drunk out of their minds. Apparently, cold and wet noodles were a worse violation of the “rules”.
