WHAT DREAMS DO YOU HAVE FOR YOUR CHILDREN AND YOUR GRANDCHILDREN?

I don't know that it's a dream - I do have an expectation that, by example, I have shown all four of my kids how to show up for themselves.

How to trust themselves. How to treat others the way they want to be treated. How not to be a doormat for anyone. How to love and be loved. How to trust and be trusted. And I hope that by allowing and enthusiastically encouraging my children to be who they are, and to pursue what they want to be, that it is a gift I've given my grandchildren. My grandchildren will have confident, well-adjusted, kind and loving parents - at least my half of that equation.

I have been unfailingly honest and as raw as possible (especially over the last two years) so that they can see that feeling and trusting your heart is hard, sometimes heartbreaking, and worth it.
