BRAVERY 52 | List 27
LIST 27 | List the occasions when you decided to be brave on behalf of someone else.
I'm not quite sure how to answer this, as I wouldn't know how to be brave for someone else.
I'm a wingman. A support player. A co-star. A member of the chorus. A teammate. A cheerleader. I help my friends and family co-create. I show up with and for them when they need me.
A recent example: Caden has just gone through a month of chemo for non-Hodgkin lymphoma and will have a month of radiation. I showed up for him. I didn't cry. I didn't make it about me (I have my own shit to handle). I simply got to work and did what mum's do: found a place to live, put food on the table, pups on board, didn't intrude on his privacy, always listened. It was a trying time during Covid-19 when I was unable to accompany him to his appointments. He had to grow up too quickly. I wasn't brave on his behalf. I was brave with him.
I'm grateful he allowed me to be there for him.
I'm good support to have in the physical, and metaphorical, trenches.
