HELLO MONDAY | 26.04.21
HELLO SHORT STORY | I made a promise to Bill that I would do my best to write our story and submit it to the New York Times “Modern Love” column. So far, I’ve kept all of my promises to him – the tough (teary) and the easy (teary) ones. I just hope I get it back from the editor in time to submit it on his birthday later this week. Once I push the button it’ll be in his hands. (I think Bill would quite love the idea of him shepherding something that comes from love into existence.)
HELLO SKIPPING | With the gyms shut down, and the ceilings in the condo being too low to accommodate my skipping with my CrossRope on the rebounder, Cole came up with a brilliant solution and got me a set of no-line weighted handles. Who knew? It really is true you can find and order anything online!
HELLO WRITING | I am taking a Journaling into the Divine course with Cat Skinner, a 3-day Wild Writing workshop with Laurie Wagner, and receive my Just Write prompt from Ali Edwards – this week. I’m excited to use my new Kaweko fountain pen in the colour of Lake Huron. (I figure, if I can’t be up there, I can add a bit of turquoise to my world down here.) A writing week is a good week!
HELLO OPEN FOR BUSINESS | Cole is officially open to freelance opportunities! You need him if you “believe any brand or organization can improve operations, reach new audiences and customers, and surpass their goals when they devote time and resources to digital tools and content marketing. In short, by telling your story you open yourself up to more possibilities.” I am so proud of him and greatly enjoy his enthusiasm for this niche that plays to all of his creative strengths! (Yes, I’ve hired him!)
HELLO NEW MONTH | With the celebration of the full moon leading into Beltane we welcome a whole new month! May promises to hold many good things: Chloé is coming home from Scotland, the temperatures will steadily improve, renovations of the Big Yellow House will continue, Caden will turn 21 and hopefully get his final diagnosis (that he beat Nelson). Fingers and toes are crossed and I’m grateful to everyone who has sent good thoughts and prayed for my boy.
HELLO MONDAY | You are my favourite: I love that you provide me with 52 fresh starts every year.
