SMALL GOOD THINGS | March

I’ve been enjoying staying focused on less in order to live a life of abundance. It’s so much easier to feel fulfilled when your attention is not going in a dozen different, sometimes conflicting, directions.

As for some small good things for March?

ONE | I get to welcome friends joining me in Turks & Caicos. About a year ago I booked a 2-bedroom condo in the hope that travel would be a thing again. I’m excited that it is (though the testing process was unnerving!). Lazy days of swimming in the Caribbean, lounging on the beach with a good book, laughing, eating, and drinking with friends - all very low key and fun. I expect we’ll all of us will be sated by all that makes us happy upon our return home. A much earned re-set after a surreal 2-years.

TWO | Read more of what I want to write and call it research! My goal for March is to read 8 books while I’m away. I reduced my title choices on my Kindle so that I’m not wasting time hemming and hawing over what to pick. I’ll simply read whatever comes up next.

THREE | Drink more water and get at least 8-hours of sleep every night. If I can do those two simple things consistently, I know I’ll start to feel good, or at least better. During my distraction-free time away, I hope will help me determine my own circadian rhythm so I can work with my body rather than rely on my brain.

The one carry-over thing I’ll continue to do each month of this year: keep showing up and dare to ask for more of myself, my life, and 2022. I’ve learned the key to a full and fulfilling life is the ability to stay open and say yes to opportunities that positively resonate - I want to welcome things that set my soul on fire.

What are some small good things you can do to feel engaged and accomplished?
