INTENTIONAL REFLECTION | July
Continuing with my Intentional Reflection practice:
What’s something new you discovered in July?
Tucker, who normally sits outside with me to enjoy thunderstorms, is terrified of fireworks - especially the 45+ minute show we had right outside our front door. This fear of any loud noise continues, and I’m afraid he won’t be the same again.
Weekly therapy sessions have led to several mind-blowing a-ha moments. When you think you’ve dealt with everything, there’s more to unpack.
Caring for three dogs is a lot more work than taking care of two.
I’m a faster reader than I ever thought I could be and have been ploughing through some great summer reads.
Cole is now living in his happy place - and Stampede was even better than he imagined.
It takes me too long to get a freshly packed box to the post office.
All I can do is vote. So, I joined the federal conservative party to vote for the more qualified candidate.
Sometimes all of the hype is just a bunch of junk.
My row of pink hydrangeas simply does not last long enough!
Lounging and reading on my front porch is my happy place.
Perspective is an interesting thing. From my view, it looked like the tall ship, St. Lawrence II was right below the lookout across the street. In fact, it was clear on the other side of the river!
What’s something you made in July?
I attended my personal training sessions - and stretched on my reformer Pilates machine every day.
I made a digital album record of my Week in the Life, which will go to the printer once I finish with a few details.
I made a list of 31 photo prompts for #AugustBreak2022.
I made an appointment to get my 4th dose. Exhale.
I made travel plans for October, which is filling up quickly! So many things to do and celebrations to attend!
Name one hope you have for August.
I have only one hope, it is that I will be more consistent in my walking practice every morning. To be honest, my allergies have gone berserk, and as a result, my asthma has acted up. The last thing I want is to have some kind of episode away from home. I know, I know, just bring my puffer with me and don’t push too hard. And maybe, just maybe, take the antihistamines that are in every bathroom drawer in the house.
I greatly enjoy using reflection, certainly of the intentional variety, to keep things on track in my life. What about you?
