WHICH GROUPS DO YOU HAVE A NEGATIVE BIAS TOWARDS?

The first thing that comes to mind is extremist groups, specifically Evangelical Christians, anyone who thinks their way is the only right way and proceed to speak out of both sides of their faces. I loathe hypocrites. I tend to be impeccably honest, even when it can get me into trouble (and it has). I’d rather have trouble for what I know to be true than over a lie. A liar raised me; it’s exhausting.

I suppose my bias extends to any extremist group. Just because you can yell the loudest doesn’t make you right. Just because you have the most followers doesn’t make you right. Just because you’re in the majority doesn’t make you right. Just because you have the most money doesn’t make you right.

For me, it’s all about what’s happening on the inside. Who are you? How do you show up for your life, your loved ones, your community, as a person?

I’m not looking for perfect, far from it. I’m flawed, I’ve been broken, I’ve been immobilized - I am honest, vulnerable, do the work, and show up as my best self at every opportunity. I’m more than aware that “best” is a slippery thing. I don’t expect anyone to show up any less or more than I do. BUT if you are cruel, a hypocrite, a liar, a cheat, a thief, a manipulator, a gaslighter, or hold others to a standard you are not willing to hold yourself? I have zero time for you. Don’t waste my time, or yours.

I have a negative bias towards assholes.
