IF YOU HAD TO SWITCH PLACES WITH ANOTHER PERSON, WHO WOULD YOU CHOOSE?

I can’t think of anyone!

Certainly no celebrity, you couldn’t pay me enough. I have no envy for what any of my friends have; they’re all lovely. You know that whole ‘you can’t compare your life to the highlight reel people post on social media’ idea? That’s how I feel.

I’m curating a life that is ideal for me and me alone. Even the low lights of my life are pretty fabulous. I’ve done a lot of work to get here, fought my demons, faced my shadow self, and acknowledged how I can show up and be a better version of myself every.damned.day. I highly recommend a serious self-excavation to everyone. It comes with plenty of embarrassing memories, they usually turn my ears red with recognition of my outbursts, temper tantrums, and general bad behaviour. I am my own worst enemy, I’m also my biggest cheerleader. After all this work, this journey to inner safety and acceptance, why in the world would I ever want to switch places with someone else?

I could get all philosophical, recognizing that we will all wake up tomorrow with cellular and DNA changes, so, in fact, we are not the same person from day to day. From that perspective, I am happy to evolve into a better me.
