I AM CURRENTLY | October 2021

LAUNDERING towels and sheets - evidence of having all four of my kids home for the Thanksgiving weekend is being cleaned up for the next visit. Hopefully, that will be sooner rather than later.

DONATING oodles and oodles of clothes - and shoes. It has become abundantly clear that I don’t need anywhere near what I own and my new lifestyle is far more casual than my last lifestyle. Some larger ladies are in for a few treats wherever they end up!

WATCHING new and returning network favourites - I do enjoy it when the new television season gears up. And with football and hockey - hello couch potato season!

PARTICIPATING in Noom, again. This time with Cole making sure I follow the program. He did a fantastic job earlier in the year losing 50 pounds! That is not my goal, but it’s super impressive that it can be done. I simply want to get myself into a consistent move more/eat more/drink more water practice. After all, it’s consistency that wins, always.

OBSERVING all of the good in my life. This month is one reserved for gratitude which is something I actively seek every day. I’m recording all of it for my new version of an old favourite project: 31 Days of Thankful. Thinking of adding it as a regular post here on the blog - something to close out each month.

PLANNING on all of the things I’m going to cook when I finally get a gas line. I’ve printed off a ridiculous number of recipes from the internet. When I can, I’ll go through and cook each one of them!

PREPARING sweater (and boot) weather. Luckily I was able to usher it in a bit more quickly for myself with my recent trip to Newfoundland. I couldn’t wait to find and unpack my sweaters and boots for the months ahead! We had a hint of it last week but the holiday yesterday had temperatures up past 25°C and loads of humidity. Ugh!

FEELING grateful to the many people from Bill’s life who have entered - and stayed - in mine. It helps him stay here, too. Random texts, emails, and calls have turned into genuine friendships. Lucky me!

EXPECTING to trade in my way-too-big-for-this-new-life Lexus LX570 for something smaller. Choices have been narrowed down to six different vehicles. Now to do the research - and hopefully, the test drive situation has returned to normal, as in, that I can actually take a test drive! And then there’s the question of inventory.

LISTENING to my body and resting, feeding, and watering as required.

FIGURING out what kind of prompts I want to follow here on the blog for 2022. I’d like for things to be more conversational - interactive. I don’t want it to be controversial, but I’d like to encourage other opinions and ideas.

PARTICIPATING in Groundwork with Tracey Clark. The ideas are not new but I’m looking forward to learning from a new teacher. Who knows, some of the exercises may lead me to new discoveries. I’m also following along in her Picture Fall course.

What about you? How are things in your world these days?
