I am motivated by ORGANIZATION.
A well planned calendar, quickly followed by a list. On Monday morning of each week, I sit down with my Get to Work Book calendar as my base and write a pretty comprehensive list in my gridded notebook of what I need to do through the week. That includes everything from assignments to chores to errands to bills to projects to calls.
My phone is regularly beeping with a reminder to:
- Meditate (10AM and 10PM)
- Feed the dogs (9AM and 5PM)
- Eat meals/snacks (8AM, 10AM, 1PM, 4PM, 6PM and 8PM)
Why the reminders for things I do every day? I can get so caught up in either reading or writing that I simply forget without the gentle chimes from my phone.
I automate as much as possible so that I can spend my available time thinking of other things and not on the mundane routine activities that happen in my every day.
It is a process that works for me! What works for you?
