I am happy Brené Brown has brought back her TGIF practice. Here is my TGIF for the past week:
That anything that is meant for me will not pass me by – I am open to whatever comes my way. I have zero attachment to form. I feel like I’ve been working hard over the past few years to learn so many things. I’m driven to know things. I have no clue what my destination might be but I’m enjoying the journey. I know I’ll be fully prepared for whatever the universe has in store for me.
To surround myself by brilliant instructors and courses as well as family and friends. I’m always learning something new and reinforcing past lessons. What a gift!
I received a couple of decks of prompts from BestSelf. Courage Over Comfort: a tool for getting out of your comfort zone; Icebreaker: a tool for meaningful conversations and deeper relationships; and Wordsmith: a tool for writing. My creative wheels are turning!
I learned so much from my recent picture book course that I ordered in all of the recommended books as well as a few favourites from my childhood. I’m in no rush for grandchildren, but when they arrive their grandma will have a fabulous collection of picture books. Who knows, I may have a few volumes to add myself over the next few years? (I’m also grateful and inspired by the number of my friends and family who think I could write a picture book or ten!)
What about you?
