ICEBREAKER: DO YOU HAVE ANY RITUALS OR HOME REMEDIES FOR FEELING BETTER WHEN YOU GET SICK?
When I come down with a cough/cold there are a few things I do:
Before I go to bed, I slather the soles of my feet with Vicks Vaporub and cover with socks. By the time I wake up in the morning chances are good that I have no cough left.
I get up and take a hot-ish shower. I find if I wallow in bed too long it makes me feel sluggish and more awful than if I simply got vertical. The shower helps to get everything moving.
I drink a lot of warm liquids: green tea and chicken broth are my go-to choices.
The most important thing I do is allow my body to recover. I tap into my non-existent reserve of patience and just give in to letting my body heal.
GOING DEEPER: DO YOU BELIEVE YOU HAVE A SOUL? IF SO, WHERE IN YOUR BODY DOES IT LIVE?
I do believe I have a soul, that we all do. Mine resides at the core of my being: in every chakra (for ease of explanation) there holds a part of my soul.
