I have actively participated in One Little Word® since 2009 and the Ali Edwards’ led workshops since 2011. I have found it to be a far more manageable approach to New Year’s resolutions. It is nice to have, at the end of each year, a completed album filled with ideas, stories and beliefs that represent my year – who I am and how I think, here and now. A time capsule of intent. By the end of 12-months, my word becomes fully formed, fleshed out and integrated into my life, my being.
I enjoy words so this is an ideal project for me!
January is all about setting up and making a home for my word of the year. For 2016, my word is LIGHT.

I believe each word, and the year-long project, has made me a better, more well rounded person. At least I have spent a lot of time getting to know myself. I look forward to what LIGHT reveals this year!
Below is my completed January assignment:
And, with that, January is complete!
What about you? Do you make resolutions? Or, like me, do you choose a guiding word for your year?
