HELLO SHUT DOWN | It’s that time of year: sprinkler system shut down, garden beds prepared, the house “detailed.” Spring and summer went by far too fast. I was in a COVID-19-induced-haze for the early part of it and then a grief-induced-daze for the rest of it. Now to make indoor-living as comfortable as possible for the months ahead as I pray that this virus passes us by with as little loss of life as possible.
HELLO FLU SHOT | I’m asthmatic (since my early teens) and with the virus attacking lungs first, I don’t want to take any unnecessary risks this year. #doingmypart
HELLO ITALY TOUR | I won’t be making it overseas anytime soon, so I’ve signed up for a webinar tour of Italy online. No, not the same as being there, but I plan on focusing on the positives: no jet lag, no stairs.
HELLO BUDGET BIN | Time to clear it out – ALL of the piles. I’m serious this time. No more magazines, purge the books, empty the craft studio, toss the furniture, prune the wardrobe. If I don’t like it, in the bin it goes. I have to release the attachment to “but that cost …” and just go with the desire to have it all cleared away. So far the contents of hundreds of files have been shredded. #liberation #onaroll
HELLO TIME CHANGE | I seriously loathe this unnecessary practice. It may have been useful at one time. That time is not now. #thisismyannualgrievance #backtogripeinspring
HELLO MONDAY | You are my favourite: I love that you provide me with 52 fresh starts every year.
