HELLO HAND SURGEON | I graduated from physio weeks ago and I hope he’s pleased with the progress. Honestly, I’m just happy I can hit the “A” on the keyboard. And laundry folding is no longer painful.

HELLO LADIES LUNCH | ‘Tis the season for lunches with girlfriends. First one is this week. So fun!

HELLO WORD FOR 2019 | For the 11th year in a row I’ve chosen my guiding word for the year ahead. I’m definitely happy with it. Every time I need a reminder I will simply think of my time in Charleston and lean in to how that place made me feel – and enjoy the ‘every day is Sunday’ vibe! #slow

HELLO HOLIDAY SHOPPING | Not too much to do this year. The kids are happier to receive cold hard cash than presents. Fine with me! That plus a holiday trip and I’m all done!

HELLO EPICURE PARTY PREP | My house is currently mid-purge with paper piles, books and buckets of stuff all over the main floor. It’s a great feeling to get it all cleaned out and I’m going to resist the urge to toss it all into a closet never to be seen again until mid-2019! My friends will just have to laugh along with me.

HELLO MONDAY | You are my favourite day of the week. I love that you provide me with 52 fresh starts every year.

To what are you saying hello on this brand new Monday?

I do so love reading your Hello Monday blog. It is always inspiring to me in some way. I can relate to the lunches, though I have only a couple that I will do this year. My first is also this week with Eve and Carrie. Both are amazing women who inspire me to be better than I’ve ever been. Carrie is a real estate agent, extraordinaire, a dental hygienist who has her business in her home, and the leader of an all female building crew for Habitat For Humanity. never a dull moment when this carrot top is around. Eve is an established and well sough after author who is forever asking me “how’s the writing going? What are you working on now?” and when I used to say – nothing happening – she’s day “WHY AREN’T YOU WRITING!!!” Eve has myriad health issues and I am ever in awe of how much she accomplishes while I, a perfectly healthy 60 something woman seems to accomplish so little. I LOVE having these two women in my life. That’s what I’m grateful for on this Hello Monday.

I’m so glad you enjoy it! (This is the time of year I always put my editorial calendar together for the next year – should I keep Hello Monday, should I change it? We’ll see!) Enjoy your lunch – plan more. They are so much fun!
