HELLO COACHING | I am blessed to have the combination of Jenn and Darren keep me on track and aware. A nudge here, a poke there, I’m figuring things out. I’m giving myself permission to live the life I want to the fullest. No more playing small for the convenience of others. I’ve decided to be relevant. To that end, with both of my coaches younger than me, I hope to benefit from their fresh perspective.
HELLO WINTER TIRES | Definitely a priority this year as I’m moving to the land of wind and snow – in the middle of winter.
HELLO APPLIANCES | I have never designed a kitchen, I’ve always inherited what I had in each house and swapped out materials, colours and appliances. This time I’m starting from scratch and I’m so excited about it! First stop? The appliance store. I know exactly what I want (trash compactor) and what I don’t want (microwave) and everything in between. This is just the start of the big renovations. Whoot!
HELLO SEASONAL DECORATING | The pumpkins and masks have been packed up, labelled and put away for another year. Time to bring out the twinkle lights and birch trees – and the new gnomes and pillows that seem to arrive daily. I don’t celebrate Christmas but we do honour Yule. It’s nice to take a seasonal approach to this time of year. No frantic! No cranky! It’s all about family, food and fun.
HELLO VIRTUAL CONVOCATION | Another weird event in a weird year – Cole will graduate from UofT virtually. I don’t know what that means exactly, but I’m relieved not to have to scramble for tickets for me and all of the kids! Unfortunately, we won’t enjoy the traditional celebration with family. No doubt there will be plenty of missed milestones we will have to catch up on when Covid-19 goes away.
HELLO MONDAY | You are my favourite: I love that you provide me with 52 fresh starts every year.
