HELLO EXHALE | I am told that moving is one of the top five most stressful situations in life. Now that the townhouse is (finally) sold and I’m fully moved into the house, this particular stress can be put away for at while. Bliss.
HELLO HOROSCOPE | All things considered, it looks like February is going to be a good month.
HELLO GROUNDHOG DAY | No matter what the rodent has to say, there will still be at least six weeks left of winter. Really? I don’t even think there will be decent weather for double that: 20 April at the earliest. Turns out there are plenty of mid-winter traditions and practices. Rituals are fascinating.
HELLO LIGHT | It is nowhere close to what I’d like it to be but I am really enjoying driving the kids to and from school in daylight.
HELLO BADLY BEHAVED ADULTS | Creating badly behaved children. Go figure.
HELLO COFFEE | I do enjoy meeting up with people to catch up over coffee. Glad I get to have a chance to do it again this week!
HELLO TEMAGAMI + STORIES | While I say goodbye to Chloé and she says hello to Temagami, I get a chance to welcome Cole home and hear all about his 10+ days camping. He will have experienced a group of young students looking to him for leadership during their first adventure making and living in quinzhees!
HELLO SLEEPOVER | My kids have lovely friends with fabulous parents. I enjoy my incredible network of support and kindness. I have one kid staying with me this week and I’m sure mine will be staying with them at some point. It is not a quid pro quo situation, just very comfortable and trusting. No scorecard. Perfect.
HELLO RICHMOND HILL | Another volleyball tournament. Me? Time to spend time with friends. Caden? Time to play well and get the attention of as many other coaches as possible. He will play his best.
HELLO MONDAY | You are my favourite day of the week. I love that you provide me with 52 fresh starts every year.
What are you saying hello to on this brand new Monday?
