HELLO JUNE | You hold within great tension and sweet relief. Be kind, please!
HELLO HOME | The weekend was spent caring for the elderly mother of a friend. The kids and I took care of her sometimes all together, sometimes in shifts. I am happy for the opportunity for all of us to learn compassion both for the woman with Alzheimer’s disease and my friend who needed a break away with her husband. As much as the weekend was enjoyed, I’ll be happy to be back in my own home.
HELLO SON | I’ll be happy to have Cole home from Temagami this week. I get a bit antsy when my kids are all over the place. Yes, that means I am learning to dwell in discomfort!
HELLO ATHLETICS BANQUET | Family shocker: Chloé is my ONE attending this year!
HELLO FULL STRAWBERRY MOON | The full moon that appears in June is called the Strawberry Moon. In North America, the peak harvesting season for strawberries in June gives that month’s full moon its name. The Strawberry Moon is one of the few full moon names that is universal to every Algonquin tribe.
HELLO PAINT, AGAIN | It’s time to get my creative on! I’m all signed up for a painting workshop at 4Cats Studio. I’m hoping to be joined by a few friends this time around.
HELLO STANLEY CUP FINALS | This should fun!
HELLO EXAMS | It all starts with the English exams for the whole school on Saturday though no exams for Caden this term. Torture of another sort starts for him next week.
HELLO OELC | Chloé has been asked to attend the music program again. Such an honour! Their site is wonky so registration will have to be the old fashioned way. She’s going to have a blast!
HELLO MONDAY | You are my favourite day of the week. I love that you provide me with 52 fresh starts every year.
What are you saying hello to on this brand new Monday?
