To continue creating the life I desire, I am taking Danielle LaPorte’s weekly prompts and instead of writing them in a private journal, I will share them here. This year I fully embrace the idea that “there is no need to be perfect to inspire others; let others get inspiration by how you deal with your imperfections.” You will find plenty! Feel free to join me!
WEEK 17: Pay attention to what wisdom arises from your Soul this week.
Find some extra quiet moments in your life. On the mat, in meditation, walking to get the mail, before you pull out your book (or phone) in bed, take a few extra minutes to take in the day. In that quiet space in your mind, what is your Soul trying to tell you?
Write in your planner and reflect on the wisdom your soul thought of.
POSITIVE DECLARATION OF THE WEEK: I am devoted to simplicity and the sacred.
I didn’t have to look hard to find quiet moments as I enjoyed a lovely week connecting with my innate wisdom that can only be found while at Canyon Ranch in Tucson, AZ. I took some time to reflect on my life, where I am now and where I’m going, embracing all of the lessons I’ve learned since my last visit and realized my soul is in need of a few things:
- slower days with shorter lists,
- regular mindful movement,
- nourishment that has nothing to do with deprivation,
- more time spent reading and less time watching,
- meditation that can come in the form of walks and naps,
- embrace “less” as a fulfilling way of life,
- and, it’s time to clear the clutter, for good.
Time to take the time, do the hard work to prepare for slower more mindful days.
Sounds good to me!
