To continue creating the life I desire, I am taking Danielle LaPorte’s weekly prompts and instead of writing them in a private journal, I will share them here. This year I fully embrace the idea that “there is no need to be perfect to inspire others; let others get inspiration by how you deal with your imperfections.” You will find plenty! Feel free to join me!
WEEK 43: An experiment.
For a few days this week, recite what you’re grateful for in the morning before you get up. For the rest of the days, write your gratitude list before bed.
Notice how either practice makes you feel or affects your awareness.
POSITIVE DECLARATION FOR THE WEEK: I am worthy of my desires.
Last June, after five years of hesitation, I got a tattoo. It’s a significant symbol to me.
My life changed completely when I reframed my past through the lens of gratitude. My story changed as I let gratitude lead the way. Revolutionary!
Every day for those same five years I wake up in a state of deep gratitude. I am surrounded by many blessings. I see them and have learned to hold them loosely. Even some of the shit has something good in it, though I’m no longer mining the mire. One thing I know for sure is that you don’t have to be grateful for bad things.
I am showing up with compassion, with enthusiasm, fully owning my divine feminine, open and receptive, accountable and kind, transparent and filled with love. I go through my days with one question: “how does it get any better than this?” and then it does. That is grace.
Life is messy and beautiful and complicated.
I’m grateful for the all of it.
