WEEK 40: I want you to seek out environments that emanate your desired feelings. Hang in the energy you want to feel.
In your home, neighbourhood, town, city… where can you go this week that will make you feel one or all of your Core Desired Feelings? I know someone who goes to test drive new cars when she’s feeling shabby.
Head to the redwoods to get rooted. Meander around open house showings for homes that are currently out of your price range. Go to a gallery to be in the midst of transcendent, priceless art. Put yourself in the physical space of your feelings and then… let the beauty and the power rub off on you.
POSITIVE DECLARATION FOR THE WEEK: Everything is healing me.
Fortunately for me, I don’t have to head to the redwoods as I have one in my back yard! That is where I head to feel connected to myself and how I want to feel – even when the weather turns cooler like it has recently. My backyard is an oasis created for calm and reflection. Indeed, my house is well on it’s way to being a sanctuary as well.
AGENCY takes me and my laptop to the Oakville Club a couple of afternoons each week for some writing, people watching and a good meal.
FLOW takes me, with Tucker and Finn, for a walk to the water at the end of our street.
LUMINOUS takes me to Zenbar for self-care and a weekly massage. (If that doesn’t happen, I watch jellyfish float – I should go to Ripley’s Aquarium! I love how they glow from within.)
MAGICAL takes me to the couch with a big cup of tea and blanket where I curl up to read a big book and escape to unfamiliar worlds for as long as I can.
SURRENDER takes me downstairs to the basement where I use the treadmill or rowing machine until I can endure the sweat of the walk or row no more.
This was an interesting exercise. It clarified for me the need to add more to my days to bring out how I want to feel into my everyday.
