DRINKING | as much water as I can manage.
EATING | breakfast. Every morning since the start of the year. 100% improvement!
EMBRACING | the idea of letting go of those things that do not serve my highest good.
ENJOYING | the promise of peace in the week ahead. All of the kids are back at school and it’s just me and Tucker. My “training” starts in the morning with no one around to walk him during the days!
COOKING | plans are underway. The new Donna Hay cookbook is in the house and plenty of pages have been folded over to give a try!
TRYING | to put my calendar together for 2016. So many levels to organize. At least it no longer matters if I get it “right” – just as long as I show up, and maybe, just maybe, say “yes” every once in awhile.
MISSING | something. I just can’t put my finger on what it is. I have realized that there is a hole I have ignored for what must be decades. It’s time to figure it out.
FEELING | blessed to have such lovely friends to join me all afternoon to celebrate, manifest and connect. My annual gathering was small, warm and wonderful.
LISTENING | to an endless amount of new music – alt rock, of course. So much I hadn’t heard before. January must be a big month for new releases. Lucky me!
WATCHING | the Golden Globes. Completely surreal whether intended or not!
WEARING | my Manitobah Mukluks everywhere! They are fabulous – Canadian version of Uggs, but better!
PLANNING | on finishing up one of the bigger shocks of my life: my recent addiction to The Vampire Diaries. Utterly fascinating. Disturbing, but fascinating. I’m three episodes from the end of season six.
WANTING | another quinoa & kale bowl from b.good – so yummy. Maybe tomorrow!
NEEDING | headphones for Caden. Well. He has headphones and he needs to USE them. He is not right now and the videos he is watching (in the kitchen) is competing with the television (in the family room). Sigh. I love that he likes being in close proximity, but still …
WISHING | only good things for everyone. Really – everyone.
WAITING | for our dollar to be worth something again. Holy smokes! $0.71 cents on the US dollar? Clearly I’m going to have to start “window” shopping – or at the very least virtual shopping cart shopping.
THINKING | I have a brilliantly wonderful life and it’s well past time to live it on my own terms.
ENJOYING | the amount of silliness, love, joy and play brought into our lives by Tucker. Every day I cannot believe I agreed to get a dog. Every day I cannot believe I waited so long.
ENCOURAGING | my kids to trust themselves to find their own way. They have my full support in all things and we all know that only they can make their lives what they want their lives to be. All of a sudden we are here.
CELEBRATING | that my kids take an active role in the daily caring for Tucker. They are learning such incredible lessons that will serve them well: consistency is key to everything; don’t beg for affection or give your power away; put your shoes away or they will disappear!
MARVELING | at how much time I have wasted waiting for stars to align. No more!
ANTICIPATING | the new Brené Brown course over at COURAGEworks starting tomorrow.
CULTIVATING | a beautiful and wondrous daily practice that will lead to a life love-filled with friends and family.
