BRAVERY 52 | List 43
LIST 43 | List the things you would say if you were speaking your truth. List what you assume might happen if you spoke those truths.
Let’s start with: I assume nothing. My years of anxiously guessing and catastrophizing possible outcomes are over. Consequences happen and they are rarely personal.
My truth? Some of the highlights include:
Love is the greatest power on earth and it informs every action - and inaction - taken. Love is the one single absolute in life.
Gratitude and generosity are the languages I use to speak my love to people, places and things. I have been the recipient of so much in my life - good and challenging. I’m grateful for all of it while I’m always generous in my dealings with people - in thought and deed. We’re all doing the best we can with what we’ve got and what we know so far.
Joy can only be experienced through challenge. If you don’t know hardship you cannot possibly know or appreciate joy. And appreciate the hell out of it when it shows up!
Home is not a physical place but a feeling I carry with me everywhere. I am always home and that feels wonderful.
Safety is as much an attitude as it is a physical reality.
You attract into your life what/who you believe you are worth.
Nothing good in your life can happen until you show up, stay open, and are curious. Vulnerability is scary but oh so worth it when you’re open with the right people.
What is meant for you will find you. Allow for your calling, your destiny, your fate, your whatever label you want, to do that. (Likely it won’t come knocking on your door or send an e-mail out of the blue, but if you show up, stay open and curious you increase your chances of discovery.)
Two phrases cycle through my head every day: “you can do hard things” and “this too shall pass (the good and the bad)”. Both help me show up every day and allow for life to evolve as it will.
That is my truth, so far.
