WHAT’S THE SKELETON IN YOUR CLOSET?
I live my life out loud – like any story will be put on the front page of the paper at any time. An old-fashioned reference, but I don’t know the modern equivalent. I always err on truth – radical honesty is the only way to live, my life anyway.
I’d like to say I have a skeleton, but my last one was unceremoniously let out of the closet a few years ago. The act was reprehensible and tore a rift in my family that may have been forgiven (for my sanity) but will never be forgotten. It forced me to tell my children something I did well before they were born and was forced to tell them before they were old enough to understand the nuances involved.
So there you have it, in all it’s boring glory: no skeletons to be found here.
I enjoy answering tough questions if for no other reason to challenge myself to dig deep and tap into what I know to be true to my core, for me, no bullshit; and, I want to encourage others to show up and answer their own tough questions. In the midst of packing and moving in mid-October 2020, I got an email from BestSelf™ about an ICEBREAKER “Deeper Talk” deck. A deck? Hello? I’m IN! This deck contains 150 questions split across 6 different categories: Beliefs, Courage, Dreams, Exposed, Life Lessons and Self-Awareness. How tough can it be? We’re about to find out. 150 weeks of answers. (I’m so much better with giving the answers than asking the questions.) I do hope you share your answers with me! #letshaveaconversation #deepertalkdeck
