WHERE ARE YOU FALLING SHORT OF YOUR POTENTIAL?
I fall short because I allow old stories and limiting beliefs to sabotage my efforts. When they show up I will often give in to fear and resistance while embracing the safety of procrastination and warm hug of mulling.
There’s a lot of “who does she think she is?” and “you can’t possibly do that” and “you always want too much” that regularly rings in my ears (of course, in my mother’s voice). I have been met with a great deal of success in my life and I have a tremendous cheering section but it still does not keep me from going down that rabbit hole of doubt and recrimination.
There are a few things I really want to do so I’ve recently hired a coach to specifically get to the bottom of what keeps me from meeting my potential and enjoying the successes I know in my bones that I can obtain.
What are those things?
- Get fit and hope for the weight to come off as a bonus. I’d simply like to be more strong and flexible.
- Write the book (essay, short story collection, screenplay, article) then write a handful more.
- Open a retreat centre for women’s empowerment and fulfilment and/or open a boutique on High Street for much the same purpose, or both!
I plan to work toward putting my fears aside and focus on obtaining the potential available to me.
